Dirt Pub Tour July '06 Volume I
Tonight, Friday July 7th, myself, Chuck Deuce, Leapin' Lenny Elder, and WB went on a dirt pub tour of the greater Boynton Beach/Lake Worth area.
Here is the review:
The Villager: I got there late, so the boys were finishing their Busch cans. Yes, I said Busch cans. 'Nuff said.
Next up: Skeeters. A few things about that place: a sign celebrating Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Seriously people, do we need to celebrate it? Also, a jar of Tums sitting on the bar (a bad sign), and a table full of random books...garage sale style.
Then came The Duke: I've been to the Duke before....it's awesome. I've not had a bad time there. However, I limit my stays to about 20 minutes each. This time, we discovered the Stool Graveyard, Sonny the new owner, a sign displaying the fact that the happy hour starts at 7am and goes to 7pm. Read that again. Yep. 7am to 7pm. While you are getting ready for work, people are drinking at the Duke. Also, there was a sign stating "no Animals Allowed." We were advised by Sonny that they had to post that sign after too many people showed up with animals. Yep, it's that kinda place. Let's move on.
Sneakers: The bar-tenders look like they could be lunch ladies at your middle school. Camera 15 is the bomb. 'Nuff said.Brogues: Awesome as always. I cannot handle Irish Car Bombs. But I do like Jager Bombs. Mike is the best bartender ever.
The Dirty Dwarf: Yes, we are still bar hopping. Charles and I make up and do shots. We drink rasberry beer that is not that bad. I plan on returning soon.
The Lizzard Lounge: Jesus Christ. What a bunch of drunk fucks. They used to have a beer pong tourney...not anymore, apparently.
Get ready for volume II. We are planning a huge Dirt Pub Tour for Chuck Deuces B-Day. 30 bars in 1 day. You read that right....30 bars - 1 day. There will be a tour bus, t-shirts made, pictures taken and alcohol consumed. The tour starts at 7am at the Duke...apply here if you are interested. Applications will be reviewed on an indevidual basis and accepted applicants will be contacted if deemed worthy. Until then....may your beer be cold and your liver strong!!!!
